We had a fantastic time yesterday at the East Cowes Neighbourhood Day. Held at the newly refurbished, and very smart, Parkside Pavilion, Vectis staff, residents and board members came together to make pizza, create some beautiful bunting for the forthcoming Under the Pier event and hoover the hedgerows for insects.

We had a mighty 25 children at the event, who all made the most delicious pizzas - the Communities Team could hardly keep up! In total we made 12 pizzas, which all disappeared in no time. Ian Whitmore was kept very busy at his bunting tables, and whilst the pizzas were in the oven. the children painted a whopping 46 flags to add to our bunting that is going to decorate Ryde Pier for the Under The Pier celebration.

It was lovely to meet some residents, and to be out and about in one of our neighbourhoods.
