Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust - apprenticeships available

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust now have opportunities to train as a woodland apprentice, learning traditional woodland management techniques and skills. Working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Environmental Conservation with Sparsholt College.

The East Wight Woodland Apprentices will help on the practical delivery of the Trust’s Woodland Apprentices Project funded by the Down to the Coast initiative.

Overseen by the East Wight Woodlands Assistant the role will provide practical experience, training and an accredited environmental qualification and apprenticeship with Sparsholt College.

The apprenticeships will focus on the management of neglected woodland in the East Wight working in conjunction with private landowners, Forestry Commission and other conservation organisations.

The apprenticeship is a temporary position, 35 hours a week lasting up to 18 months.
