Vectis Big Day Out

Thanks to all residents who joined us for the Vectis Big Day Out last weekend. We all had a great time at the zoo, especially seeing some of the new tigers that are settling in to their new home.

After a break for lunch and refreshments at Browns Cafe, we also got a chance to visit the Willow Walk nature trail and see inside the inner workings of part of the top secret second world war PLUTO pipeline project that pumped essential fuel under the English Channel to France during the war.

The Artecology Team were also on hand with some fabulous art and wildlife activities. Ian Boyd led the group on a local bug safari, whilst Hannah and Nigel George provided air drying clay to mould into nature inspired sculptures.
